I just started my blog the first week of August. The reason I wanted to start a blog in the first place was because I wanted to be able to share my love of books with other people in the bookish community. And meet new people. (Which, by the way, I’ve met tons of wonderful people since I entered the blogosphere.) I was PM’ing an author on Goodreads regarding a book I won through the incentives program in the group For Love of a Book, and I ended up asking her how hard it is to start a blog. She told me that it wasn’t hard at all, and introduced me to WordPress. Right then, I logged on, signed up, and created my blog. Easy peasy. And here I am!
My first piece of advice to new bloggers would be to blog hop. Click links to others blogs, check them out, post comments, and interact with other bloggers. This will help you get a feel of what people like and of course, making new friends is always a plus!
My second piece of advice to new bloggers is to join some weekly meme’s. This will help get you started on creating posts regularly and will help get your blog out there. There are tons of weekly meme’s to participate in. I currently only participate in Top 5 Wednesday and Diversity Spotlight Thursday… but some others include: Top Ten Tuesday, Wordless Wednesday, Waiting on Wednesday, etc. (If you do that first thing I said (blog hopping!), you’ll discover lots of fun meme’s!)
Thanks again, Jasmine, for the nom! Sorry it took so long for me to post. I love getting tagged in stuffs, but I’ve been super busy lately. I hope I didn’t nominate someone who’s already been nominated. If so, I’m sorry!! ❤
