Book Bloggers Have Secrets Too…

I was tagged months ago by Sam @ One Bookish Girl to do the Secret Life of a Book Blogger tag. Sorry, Sam, that it took me so long to get to it! But thank you so much for tagging me. You guys should definitely go check out Sam’s blog. She posts great reviews and lots of fun stuffs, so it’s worth a visit!

Without further ado (because I’m supposed to be reading Six of Crows right now), let’s jump right into the tag!

oo

WHAT IS THE BEST PART?

For me, the best part of blogging is definitely the community. Everyone is so wonderful in the book blogiverse and they were all so welcoming to me when I first started blogging. Making new book buddies is awesome and I’m so happy that I was able to join such an open community of great people!

WHAT IS THE WORST PART?

The worst part of blogging is the time. I am no good with time management (though I am learning) and I hadn’t realized how much time blogging actually takes!

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU TO FIND/CREATE PICTURES TO USE?

I usually find/create pictures ahead of time so it doesn’t take too long when it comes time for me to create a post. But when I do go on a binge hunting for and creating photos, I’ll spend a good couple hours getting it all done.

WHO’S YOUR BOOK CRUSH?

Oh, goodness! This question! Voldemort? Nah, just kidding. Um, I guess I’d say right now it’s Kaz from Six of Crows. Maybe because I’m reading that right now and he’s stuck in my mind… but he’s definitely got some swag going on.

WHAT AUTHOR WOULD YOU LOVE TO HAVE ON YOUR BLOG?

Either V.E. Schwab or Alexandra Bracken! (I’ll be interviewing Jason Parent, author of Seeing Evil, on my blog in the next couple weeks! So be on the lookout for that.)

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU TO PREPARE A POST?

Like Sam said, it depends on the post. Sometimes it will take me a few hours… other times it may take me half an hour.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE BOOK BLOGGER COMMUNITY/CULTURE?

Well, like I said for question one, I absolutely love the book blogging community! It’s the most welcoming and loving community I’ve ever been a part of. Everyone has been really great to me since I started blogging and I truly appreciate that!

WHAT DO YOU THINK ONE SHOULD DO TO HAVE A SUCCESSFUL BLOG?

There are many different ways to have a successful blog. As long as you do what makes you happy, I think there’s a good chance you will be successful at it. Also, don’t forget that being friendly and interacting with other book bloggers is a good thing!

WHO DO YOU TAG?

Jessica @ Novel Cravings

Hannah @ Hannah Reads 2001

Shahirah @ BookLoves Reviews

Ioana @ Books Reenchanted

Linda & Nicole @ Page Pixies

  2. Time is definitely one of the struggles of book blogging! So many books I want to read, posts I want to write, blogs I want to check out… but I have limited time to get it all done and must prioritise. It can be so difficult at times.

And I 100% agree with being happy as a key to having a successful blog. In fact, I think that’s already a success in itself. 💖

    1. I know! It’s crazy! You would think I’d read more since blogging, but I actually read less than I did before I started blogging… just because I spend more time now blog hopping, commenting/liking, checking my WP Reader, creating posts and images, etc. It’s very time consuming. But all worth it!!

      1. Oh I get you. I freaking LOVE Jesper. He’s so adorable, especially when he flirts with you know who lol. But when it comes down to it, I like literary bad boys and Kaz is the definition of it lol
