A Very Late Update :: Halloween Readathon & Fall Bingo

I think I’ve waited long enough to do this update, don’t you guys think? I want to do my Fall Bookish Bingo updates on Friday’s, but I am gonna go ahead and knock that update out right now, along with my Halloween Read-a-Thon update.

Halloween Read-a-Thon

First, we’ll get into the Halloween Read-a-Thon update. This read-a-thon was hosted by the wonderful Lauren @ Wonderless Reviews! As most of y’all know, I’ve been in a HUGE reading slump for the last couple months (which I am so disappointed to admit), so I haven’t gotten much reading done. For this read-a-thon, I was only able to complete one book, but I stretched it to cover as many of the challenges as I could.

So here it is:

The book I was able to complete during the read-a-thon, was Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo, which you can find my review for HERE. This was a buddy read with my girl Jill @ Rant and Rave About Books. You can find her review by clicking on her link! (I started How to Hang a Witch by Adriana Mather, but have yet to even finish that one… shame on me!)

So which challenges did this book work for? Let’s see…

I absolutely feel that Six of Crows could work for this challenge, as the cover IS sorta creepy… so, yeah… I’m counting it!

I can definitely count it toward this challenge, as I always read after sunset.

trick-or-treat

I chose the “Treat” option, meaning I could choose a book of any genre for this challenge. I choose Fantasy!

So… in the end, for the Halloween Read-a-Thon, I was able to complete a total of:

Fall Bookish Bingo

Alrighty, let’s get into the Fall Bookish Bingo update. Since my last bingo update, I’ve only completed one book, so one book toward my bingo board. And, as I said above, that one book is Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo.

Since I had already covered the Revenge square with Three Truths and a Lie, I am going to swap that book out with Six of Crows. I will use Six of Crows for the Revenge square and move Three Truths and a Lie to the Black Cover square!

Here is my board:

Black Cover :: Three Truths and a Lie (swapped from Revenge)

Revenge :: Six of Crows

I still have a little ways to go before I get a bingo… two squares left in several different ways… but of course, I’m still working on it! I notice a lot of you who are playing have gotten many, many bingo’s. So congrats!!

That’s it for my updates! Sorry again for the delay!

How did you do during the Halloween Read-a-Thon? Are you playing Fall Bookish Bingo this season? I’d love to see your boards!

  1. I’m so sorry you were on a reading slump! I can’t stand them >.<
I didn't participate in the read a thon, at least not officially, but if I go and check which books meet which challenge, I might have done a few.
Good luck with Fall Bingo! I hope you have fun and are able to read more this time 🙂
