Bookish Bingo :: Winter 16-17

winter-bookish-bingo-1

Alright, guys! Fall Bookish Bingo is over and Winter Bookish Bingo has started! I’m so excited for this new board and can’t wait to start knocking out squares. The creator of this challenge is Bekka @ Pretty Deadly Reviews. If you’d like more info on this seasonal challenge, check out the sign-up post.

Just a brief idea of how this bingo challenge works:

  • There is a bingo card for each season. So this one will be for December, January, and February.
  • The object is to get as many bingo’s as possible, using one square per book.
  • At the end of the season, there will be a giveaway! The more bingo’s you get, the more chances you have to win!

I’m liking the looks of this season’s board! There are lots of squares that should be pretty easy for me to complete, so I’m definitely looking forward to this season. And hopefully I’ll get more bingo’s than I did in the Fall (which was none). If you would like to see my final board for Fall Bookish Bingo, you can check it out HERE.

Square Ideas

  1. Hey, this looks like a fun one. I might just have to give this season’s reading bingo a try. Haha, you’re right; if you had no books on your bingo card for the last season, then surely you’ll do better this time. 🙂

  2. I’m loving the books on this board, too, I think I may just have to join in on this one. And I mean, I’ve got the LGBT square covered already, as that’s all I’ve been reading this month so far. 😛

  3. I think I’ll participate in this one! School is almost out and I will have more time! It should be fun! May I borrow your board, lol? 😉 Gonna make a couple review posts shortly to catch up, and I think I’ll include it in one of those. Maybe we can finally buddy read something now!

    1. Yay! So glad you’re gonna play! Technically the board is Bekka’s, the creator of the bingo challenge, but everyone uses her boards. So yes! You can copy mine/hers! 😉 I would definitely be up for a buddy read now that I’m out of that damned reading slump. Just let me know!

  4. Love this board! So if survival is literally just any book based on survival, assuming you have read The Hunger Games, I think Wolf Road:A Novel would count and Ioved it! Maybe check it out? I have a review and believe Drew does to if you want more info 😉

  5. The only book I can think of at this moment for “Survival” is “Into the Wild” by Jon Krakauer, but that might actually be a bad example. 😉 You could stretch it though since the book is about attempting to survive in a harsh environment!

  6. I’m also participating this season! Good luck on yours! For survival, I would recommend “Graceling” by Kristen Cashore (if you haven’t read it) or “All Our Yesterdays” by Cristin Terril. I think those count as survival books.

  7. I’m glad to see that I wasn’t the only one who didn’t get a single bingo during the fall bingo haha I came pretty close but didn’t manage to actually get one. 😛 I’m definitely hoping to get a couple during the winter, though! Judging off the squares for winter, it shouldn’t be too difficult with my reading habits. 🙂 Good luck!

  8. 😦 I can’t believe I didn’t catch any of these little cool challenges going around until now! Next year I’ll be on the lookout so I won’t miss them!
As for survival reads, This is Not a Test by Courtney Summers is a fantastic book (and it shows survival related to depression and zombies). You can check my review here if you want to know more about it 😉

      1. Yay!!! I knew the name sounded familiar. 😊 Thanks again for your recommendation. I’ll definitely be checking it out. I’ve always wanted to read All the Rage too, but have never gotten around to it. So now may be my chance to finally read something by Ms. Summers 😉

  9. Ohhm you just reminded me about this challenge. 😀
I’ll participate too! Will have to plan what books will fit into categories, and I’ll check what books people recommended to you because I have no idea what book to read for that category.
