With Christmas just a few days away, what better time to do the Joy of Christmas Tag than right now? This tag was created by booktuber Sam @ Sam’s Nonsense and I was tagged by the lovely Michelle @ Book Adventures! So let’s spread some Christmas cheer!
I really can’t wait to get my hands on these books! They all have such beautiful covers and sound so interesting.
One of my favorite authors is V.E. Schwab. Her work is absolutely magnificent. She’s a total genius and has such a way with words and creating such unique worlds and characters. If you haven’t read any of her work, you MUST do so as soon as humanly possible.
So since I had promised myself before I created this post that I wouldn’t mention Harry Potter, I’m gonna go with V.E. Schwab’s A Darker Shade of Magic. As I said in the previous prompt, she has created such a unique world in this series and I’m looking forward to reading book three very soon!
I haven’t read many classics, which is something I’d like to start working on soon. But from the classics I have read, I’d say my favorite is George Orwell’s Animal Farm. It was a quick, fun read with a lot of meaning behind it. As for a classic I’ve always wanted to read, I’d go with another George Orwell novel, 1984. I have heard nothing but good things about it and I hope to read it someday soon.
Honestly, I would love to receive any books for Christmas! I will read just about anything. But if I had to choose, I’d send you back to prompt one and tell you I’d like you to preorder me any of those three books I listed! Or A Conjouring of Light by V.E. Schwab.
Oh, wow. This is a tough one… since I don’t really read “warm and fuzzy”. And remember, I said I wasn’t going to mention Harry Potter. If I say Harry Potter because it makes me think of my childhood, which makes me feel warm and fuzzy, then I’d be breaking my promise. And I can’t do that, can I? Or can I…
Although I didn’t like Red Queen at all, I still really love that cover! The blood dripping off the crown… gorgeous. I’ve yet to read either Carve the Mark or Sword and Verse, but am way attracted to both their covers. Hopefully I’ll finally be able to get to Sword and Verse soon… and as for Carve the Mark, it’ll be released in January, so hoping to get to it then!
Gosh. I love everything about Christmas! Like, literally everything. If you’re interested in some of my favorite things about Christmas, check out a guest post I did for a fellow blogger. You can find it HERE.
That was a fun tag! It definitely helped get me in the Christmas spirit (not that I wasn’t already, of course). 😉 I will tag a few people, seeing as it’s so close to Christmas. But if you want to do this tag and I haven’t tagged you, please feel free!
Merry Christmas, friends!
